MAYONNAISE SSAMJANG (쌈장)
What is Ssamjang ( 쌈장)?
Ssamjang is a thick, savory, and spicy Korean dipping sauce made from a combination of fermented soybean paste (doenjang) and chili pepper paste (gochujang). Some other ingredients added to samjang include garlic, green onion, and a sweetener such as honey or syrup. The name directly translates to "wrap sauce" because it is a staple condiment for Korean lettuce wraps (ssam). This sauce is also commonly used with grilled meats, such as Korean pork belly barbecue, and can be used as a dipping sauce for vegetables like cucumbers and green chilies.
